Sacred Heart School, Dumka is a Christian Religious Minority English Medium School established, managed and administered by 'Dumka Catholic Diocese' a registered Society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 for the education and formation of boys and girls up to Secondary School level irrespective of any caste or creed or status. The school was blessed and inaugurated on 19th March 2007 by Rt. Rev. Julius Marandi, the Bishop of Dumka, who is also the President of the Governing Body and the Managing Committee. The manager of the school is Fr. S. Christu Das and the present Principal/Secretary is Sr. Aruna Mary Chinnabathini.
History has witnessed one of the most troubled times for the students due to the pandemic COVID-19. Educational Institutions have been closed since the first lockdown that began on 24th March 2020 and nothing is certain about the reopening of schools, and even when a decision to this effect will be announced, the schools will have to take lot of precautionary measures to ensure the safety of each student. Certainly a very big challenge too. However, despite the spike in the cases of COVID-19, the positive sign is the recovery rate in India. We can be proud of our immunity as well as laud the government for taking various steps to deal with the pandemic...
