The colours of the rainbow represent the intensity of God's presence which envelops and protects us and manifests the unending and immense love of God for each of us. He embraces us in His eternal and unending love.

The two hands symbolize the caring hands of our parents, teachers, elders, friends, well-wishers and even strangers who play a significant role in moulding our life and bringing to light the divine within us.

The lighted lamp represents the brightness and glow of our life that dispels darkness and gives light to our family, our society, our country and the whole world. The Sacred Heartians are torch bearers to the world with a special call to work for peace and harmony. It is always good to light a lamp than curse the darkness.

God's love gifts life and its nurturing, moulding and shaping happens with the love of our parents, brothers, sisters, teachers, elders, friends and all those whom we meet in our life journey. Yes, it is love that Gifts Life and it is Love that unfolds life. We are the messengers of Love and the messengers of life and our motto is, "Love Gifts Life". Jesus, the very embodiment of love says, "I have come to give life and life in its fullness" (Jn. 10:10). The Sacred Heart of Jesus is the fountain of God's immense Love dancing to life and to life in its fullness.

The Sacred Heartians, drawing inspiration from their logo and the inscribed motto makes a solemn pledge to remain always open to the unfailing grace of God and to the tireless efforts of their parents, teachers and elders to become a rich gift to humanity and to the universe "What we are is God's gift to us and what we become is our gift to God", yes, to one another.
