'We are born to manifest the Glory of God that is Within Us' says Nelson Mandela, a great visionary.
No one lights a lamp and puts it under a bushel basket, instead they put it on a lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house. (Mt 5:15)
Though education is all about manifesting the Glory of God through changing life and civilizations, the children of our present age grow up in a world that is uncertain, confusing and even alarming. Materialism, radicalism, natural and manmade calamities, war and violence threaten the very fabric of our civilized life. In such a milieu we the parents and teachers have a greater responsibility to transform their young minds to be partners in building a love-nurtured civilization. It is our bounden duty to create and provide opportunities to develop their creative and inquisitive minds with positive vibes.
As someone says the whole fabric of scientific development stems from the insatiable curiosity of some of the great minds that are inquisitive, explorative and inventive. The inability to accept the obvious led Sir.Isaac Newton to discover, the Theory of Gravitation and Sir. Albert Einstein the Theory of Relativity.
The budding minds of the young are full of new scope. They are creative and valiant in discoveries. They need to make full use of their innate capacities and talents to be valuable persons in the society and to the world. Let our efforts be an encouraging field of perspective for all our students to make themselves competent and formed persons in order to build a true and just society. As true educators let our concerns be of such to impart knowledge in the field of education and to accomplish the noble task of creating responsible persons for our changing world. May God bless all of us to be true to our mission of changing the world to be an Oasis of God's field to enjoy life in its fullness as designed by God our Heavenly Father. Here I am reminded of the saying of Mahatma Gandhi, the father of our nation "Teachers are nation builders" and teaching is not a profession but a NOBLE TASK. Let us also remind ourselves with the words of St. Paul, from the Holy Bible, that "Not many of you should become teachers my dear brothers and sisters, because you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness, for all of us make many mistakes." (St. James 3:1)
I wish every one of you God's choicest blessings in your teaching and learning MISSION. Let God's Kingdom may be established in us and around us through our great mission of Education.
